Prompt: Full moon over the ocean. Time: about six minutes.
The sea rises to consume the shore as the flat full moon fails to emulate the sun’s rays. Nature consumes in the pale light. The crest of white waves are punctuated by dolphin fins. The shrunken shoreline is alive. A sea of crabs scuttle over one another up into the tall grass. Like land mines, the occasional jellyfish lay amongst them, puffy and translucent, its long tentacles reach back towards the ocean that left it behind. It is a no man’s land, but nature never abandon’s. Nature outlasts us all.
